Job Duties:
The Law Clerk will work closely with Senior Immigration Legal Attorneys to provide comprehensive legal support, including:
The Law Clerk will work closely with Senior Immigration Legal Attorneys to provide comprehensive legal support, including:
- Drafting immigration forms for USCIS and Immigration Courts (e.g., I-601, N-400, I-129, I-485, I-918, I-130, I-864, I-130-A, I-765, I-918, I-131, I-821, I-129F, I-140 etc.).
- Handling Employment-based Green Cards, Student Visas, Extension and Transfer of Status, Tourist Visas, and business immigration cases such as O-1, P-1, H-1B, EB-2 NIW, LCA, PERM.
- Keeping track of Immigration court deadlines.
- Preparing labor certification applications, non-immigrant and immigrant visa petitions, asylum applications (affirmative and defensive), and naturalization documents.
- Conducting legal research and preparing briefs, pre-hearing statements, PSG Statements, cover letters, personal business plans, written pleadings, motions, memos, petitions, evidentiary documents including country conditions reports, appeals, and client correspondence/declarations etc.
- Compiling evidence to be submitted with applications/petitions, preparing packages to be dispatched, and attending court sessions to hear oral arguments or record necessary case information etc.
- Translating legal documents from Urdu to English and providing verbal understanding of Hindi and Punjabi.
- Managing a high-volume caseload and client communication using Docketwise software.
Qualifications:
- Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) or Master of Laws (LL.M.) from an accredited U.S. law school.
- Experience: Minimum of 30 months of experience as a law clerk in any legal work.
- Skills:
- Proficiency in Urdu (spoken and translation) and verbal understanding of Hindi and Punjabi.
- Strong organizational and case management skills.
- Ability to handle detailed legal documentation and tight deadlines.

Wage: $97,594 per year as determined by the prevailing wage standards for Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue, WA.
